From the looks at this artical C# and other .net programs will soon be obsolete.

Xm... I dont know sources of this article, but I dont think that will happen in a near future... I think this is just a story about reorganization of Microsoft, nothing more.... Who can stop programmers of whole world to use .NET languages?
It would be big financial strike to the world economy, not mentioning software development, totally new way of functioning OS...

Well i don't think that .NET is going to be obsolete. Now .NET is probably the strongest package and programmers will not stop using it.

Please, sir. Kindly read the article. All of you, read the damned article rather than jumping to conclusions. It CLEARLY implies that Microsoft may be backing off of further projects where they port a scripting or programming language to .NET (such as IronRuby).
This hasn't got the least to do with the decay of the .NET libraries, nor the virtual machine. |
