Xm... my PC (old more then 10 years) have some Maxtor's and WD ATA HDD's... Except they are a bit loud, I cant say anything bad about it
 In last time Hitachi and Maxtor is the most widely used HDD on the world, so I suppose it would be a good choice for you also!  P.S : I also have one Quantum Fireball!

I have Western Digital 640 GB, and it is pretty enough !!
